Telespazio Germany provides multiple services for exploration to the Microgravity User Support Centre (MUSC) at the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) and the European Astronaut Centre (EAC) of the European Space Agency (ESA) in Cologne, Germany.
- Deep Space Robotic Mission Support
Our MUSC team provides operations, engineering and ground segment support for complex solar body intercept robotic exploration missions, including ESA’s Rosetta with Philae lander and JAXA’s Hayabusa 2 with MASCOT lander. Telespazio also supports ground segment design and operations preparation for robotic missions in development, including the DLR-CNES rover being designed for JAXA’s MMX mission to Mars. - Virtual Reality
Our EAC team investigates new alternative technologies based on virtual and augmented reality to enhance training, learning and operational use in an exploration scenario. - Instrumentation Support for Exploration
Our EAC team supports the development of tools for analysing soils and minerals with machine learning algorithms. These tools are intended for use in future human planetary surface exploration missions, and are currently being tested and validated in analogue exploration mission field campaigns.
